Listening to music and sharing it with others is a great way to meet others and make new connections. The Treasure Valley is fortunate to have many opportunities to experience live music over the summer. Whether you’re looking to discover a new favorite band, try some new food, or relax outside on a warm summer evening. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, invite some friends, and come spend some time at these local concerts.
Eagle Gazebo Concert Series
If you happen to be in Eagle on the last Thursday of the month, swing by Heritage Park for the Eagle Gazebo Concert Series. Starting at 6:30 local artists will take to the stage, with a different artist every week each concert will be different from the last. The Concert series runs from May to September offering lots of time to check it out. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect place to hang out with friends, family or anyone looking to unwind after a busy day.
Sunshine and Soundbites
If you are looking for a laid-back way to spend a Friday evening in Nampa, Sunshine and Sound Bites is the concert for you. Starting at 5:30 find live music at Orah Brandt Park. This event is the perfect time to try some new food trucks and settle into a spot in the grass with your friends. The park provides lots of space to spread out with your friends and enjoy the music.
Connections at Kleiner Park
Meridian offers several opportunities to enjoy live music during the summer, one of which is Connections. Beginning in June and continuing every other week through mid August, the park hosts new artists every week offering you a new experience every time. You can find a list of the summer performers on the City of Meridian’s Website.
Meridian's Main Street Mix
Another great way to experience the live music that Meridian has to offer is at Meridian’s Main Street Mix. Every Wednesday evening at 5:30, find live music at the Generations Plaza in downtown Meridian. Join in for some dancing and community fun. The Mix starts in July and continues through the middle of August. Meridians downtown plaza helps create a lively atmosphere for listening to music, and checking out local shops and restaurants.
Alive After 5
Alive after 5 is Boise’s longest-running outdoor concert series. Hosted by the Downtown Boise Foundation, the concerts take place every Wednesday in June and July starting at 5 in the Grove Plaza. Each week features a new line up of artists with a variety of styles. Alive after 5 is a great way to experience new artists and enjoy local food and shopping downtown. If the weather or the air take a turn for the worst the event is moved indoors to the treefort music hall around the corner, allowing the music to continue on.
Whether you are checking out music this summer with friends or family, you are bound to have a good time. If you can’t make it to any of the reoccurring events listed here check your local city’s event page or right here on the get out there calendar for any one day events that you can catch live music at.
